I find Mike Winters Hilarious and wish he drew more Gateway comics

Enough said.

Newspaper = GO!

I think we're getting better at this deadline thing. Smaller newspapers do tend to make a difference. Also, the crossword is back. Joy!

Speaking of things being back, the NHL preseason is underway, and the Flames started things with a bang, downing the Panthers 3-1. I couldn't q uite get over the commentary's pronunciation of Ed Belfour's name as “Belfer”, but it's a small price to pay for a Calgary victory. Go Flames Go!

Incriminating evidence pt. 1

Here's a tasty sampling of the retreat fun, in chronological order (and reverse-order of retardation, apparently).

Firewood!

Chicken! (Thanks, Lisa. It was delish.)

Ah, the beer hat. So trashy.

As usual, Ashy is the first to get hammered.

Apparently, I wasn't far behind (pretty good for a self-portrait, though, eh?)

Matt Frehner doing his best Steve Smith impression.

Apples to Applzzz!!!

(See quote book for this one, probably)

Yeah, Natalie, you really needed that Breezer...

Krystina, on the other hand...

...is a much subtler drunk. But don't worry, she still gets drunk.

The shirt says it all.
(Actually, it just says "Trust me I'm a Zombie," but nevermind.)

Foot off the ground!!!!!!!! Well, almost.

Not too sure about this one... Any takers?

In conclusion: where's the fork?

Back to school
Back to school

To prove to dad that I’m not a fool

I’ve got my lunch packed up
My boots tied tight

I hope I don’t get in a fight

Ohhhh, back to school. Back to school. Back to school...

Funny how my presence on campus all summer has made this year’s “First Day of School” feel like any other day. I guess being out of the house and not having my mother tell me that I’ll never amount to anything is a big change. God, I’m gonna miss that.

Oh yeah. 36 pages done, a little overdue. Good enough.
